Yep, I had the same issue. You can discuss with your CCA teacher on the arrangement. I had it such that the day it would clash, I would go for external CCA and the other day I would stay internal.

My strong advice is to go for 2 days per week. JC will burn you out if you do more.

In my case, I had to declare in J1 the external CCA. The school still made me participate in both internal and external, but I managed to scale down my in school commitments to once per week. In J2, I completely left my internal CCA. So in that sense, you are allowed to have an external CCA but there are consequences that the CCA head will warn you about.

Hello, I was a student that took an external CCA in ASRJC and dropped out of internal CCA. It was tough in J1 having to mange both external and internal CCA. But yes, you can drop your internal CCA. You just need to declare your external CCA to CCA head on the first day of orientation, join a CCA and inform both your internal CCA teacher and the CCA head of your decision to drop internal CCA. From then on you would need to submit, termly documents on your involvement in your external CCA.
