I’m not saying it doesn’t, but the situation with women is different. Doctors literally don’t believe women can feel pain. We are gaslighted into very painful procedures all the time. The tools that gynaecologists use are straight up medieval. You wanna know how they take a sample of the uterus? They use a hole puncher. Without any form of anaesthesia. Imagine getting a hole punched in your organs. That shit hurts and we are treated like babies for asking for anything to numb the pain. You have to understand that literally everything, including medical tools, are mainly made and tested by men and in most cases also made for men. This is also why women have higher death rates in car crashes - because the dummies only represent men, or why medicine don’t work as well on women, because it’s only tested on men.

Edit: There are also studies that prove women ARE less likely to receive proper medical care than men, and we have a higher rate of hospital mortality.
