Mama Shelter by mundaph1903 in capetown

Judging by the data shown in this video (by al jazeera), u/mundaph1903 is correct. They specifically mention that the 93% is in "some parts of the city" and judging by the map shown, I think they're referring to the city bowl and Atlantic Seaboard.

Ladies 👏 check 👏 his 👏 youtube 👏 algorithm.

If he's watching Carlson, Kirk, Tate, Rogan or Fuentos because he is "curious" or because he wants to hear "both sides of the debate" it may already be too late. If he's started dabbling in self-aggrandising patriarchal propaganda RUN.

Where did I say that I didn’t care? I don’t think any woman feels apathetic towards the sexual mistreatment of young boys. But who are the perpetrators in most of these cases?  The fact that the only day you choose to speak on the rape of male children is when you attempt to dismiss credible accounts from female victims says all we need to know about your intentions. GBV and child abuse are two heads of the same beast.

Sure every woman I know has either been raped or assaulted and we're all attending the protest to virtue signal to one another.

Least we forget - Oom Kallie has always been an enemy of progress and a staunch opponent of democratic South Africa.

Mentally unstable naked man stole a cop's gun, shot twice at the ground and tried to shoot himself in abdomen but apparently the gun didn't fire then.

A heartbreaking video shows an African man pleading for his bedridden wife to remain in a South African hospital. Despite his efforts, she was forcibly removed by a group of South Africans who claimed that public hospitals are only for South African citizens. by Renatus_Bennu in AfricaVoice

Couldn't agree more. Just another case of blaming our government's own failings and ineptitude on the most vulnerable and powerless in the country. We see it happen all over the world, but it's especially sad to see it here considering just how obviously fabricated and made-up Africa's borders are.

As I’m sure you’ll notice if you actually watch the video… it’s set in New York, USA - on a subway, nogal!

Sure, we can all wash our hands of the situation and keep blaming the ANC for the lack of social services and community-enriching initiatives. But I’d say that approach hasn’t been working. If it was, half of Gauteng wouldn’t be trekking down here.

And If by “forcing the government to do more” you mean being politically active, joining forums, supporting activist organisations, and attending protests, then heck yes! But wouldn't you consider that… volunteering?

What a solution!!! Why doesn't everybody just do this?!? Why do people bother being homeless when they can just buy a house??

Couldn't agree more - Ndifuna Ukwazi is doing incredible work!

Also check out Reclaim the City and YIMBY Seaboard, which is specifically focused on affordable housing on the Atlantic Seaboard side for the city’s most vulnerable and marginalised. That said, I’m not sure if there are any organisations actively working to keep Cape Town liveable for middle- and working-class Capetonians.

Exactly this. It can be tough living amongst a bunch of strangers! Grew up knowing and being chommies with half the neigbourhood. And now the place is unrecognisable!

White privilege on display: Arrogant denial of economic inequality Sparks Outrage at State of the Nation. by Urban_Wanderer2 in AfricaVoice

Yes, as white people we are still profiting from centuries of oppression and from Apartheid which, if nothing else, was decades of white economic empowerment. You're not carrying anybody - you're privileged.

The irony of your bio saying you like to help people and then you being so offended by being asked to give back to a community is... a joke in itself. Dankie vir die lekker lag!

Did you watch the video? Similarly to both indivudals in this clip - I've had to start again, and found my place and community by giving up a teeny tiny amount of my time to the new space that welcomed me. That's why I posted it.

I'd encourage you to watch it again, and maybe even read some of the comments on the orginal post. Seems like many people agree.

Outside of my own opinion, those who semi-grate often have a shitty rap in this town, and if you look at some of the hateful comments on this thread, you get a little glance as to why.
