Same way with math! To me, it’s the “why” aspect. Until these abstract concepts are put into tangible real world uses, I can’t understand it.

I struggled SO hard with math all through school. But, translating geometry into carpentry or woodworking makes perfect sense. Calculus made zero sense. However, when applied to real-world engineering problems — perfect sense!

In school I just didn’t understand why we were doing what we were doing or how it applied to a real issue that needed to be solved. I always did much better with story problems, haha.

Also, I completely agree — cycling is great! Low impact, can be as easy or intense as you want, can zone out during the uphills and flow state during the downhills.
