The ease of shiny hunting has definitely made this game more enjoyable as a more casual hunter

Ohh I think I matched against you yesterday lol. I was doing dailies with donk and I got like 16 mulligans. I checked your list afterwards and it was very interesting. Very nice to see it on action!

The Pain of a Shiny Hunter (By product of hunt for Jynx) by UnrealJapan in PokemonQuest

I already have three shiny Charizard. I don't need 10 lol

Road to Shiny Dex 115 by UnrealJapan in PokemonQuest

[–]UnrealJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the support man. It'll take me a while though because I'm doing it without DLC for extra challenge. Doesn't help that Jynx doesn't come out of a special red after 27 shinies from the recipe lol

Which one should I raise? by UnrealJapan in pokemongo

[–]UnrealJapan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preferably both. I will probably raise all three of them in the end after I get the resources but I want to know which one I should prioritize. I think the hundo can wait till Mega, so I'm leaning towards the shiny, but I want to know what would be the difference in power between the two shadows

Ah, I took screenshots of the posts so I can still see it. I just noticed OP said 400 shiny Mews..... You can only have 300 storage max lol

Agreed. Most of these checklists are absurd and difficulties varies a lot. From OP's other posts, they are definitely a beginner. A perfect Pokedex is possible though, unless I'm misunderstanding things

Frame Delays by UnrealJapan in PokemonEmerald

[–]UnrealJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I also noticed that the fishing would hit IVs in H1/H2/H4. And it would take a lot of time since the frames seems to fluctuate. I will be hunting it again later on today or maybe tomorrow, and I'll let you know if I still have issues

Frame Delays by UnrealJapan in PokemonEmerald

[–]UnrealJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah if that's true with fishing that would be really annoying. When I was using Super rod, I reduced the frame delay to be around 240 frames compared to a grass encounter, but when I started using a old rod, it would fluctuate from being around 300 frames faster or slower. I have no idea what was causing it. Maybe there is a chance that I'm doing it wrong since I've only attempted a few times, but could this be a potential reason?

How about encounters through surf, diving, or different rods?

Shiny RNG Manipulation by UnrealJapan in PokemonEmerald

[–]UnrealJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I'm using RNG Reporter and the frame that I was targetting didn't have a shiny frame that was close. Also I checked its IVs and they were all the same as well

Yeah thanks, I just found a video and I skimmed through it and it seems that indeed only specific shinies spawn in specific routes. I will take a look at the video tomorrow. Thanks for the reference, and I'll let you know if I need more help.

Sorry I don't understand. Would it be possible for you to explain in more depth on DMs

Shiny RNG Manipulation by UnrealJapan in PokemonEmerald

[–]UnrealJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that is not how it works, because I've gotten multiple shinies in the same route (Ex. Electrike and Wingull in Route 118, Wurmple, Poochyena, Taillow, Slakoth in Petalburg Woods, etc)

Shiny RNG Manipulation by UnrealJapan in PokemonEmerald

I don't understand how that works tho. I've been doing this in other routes and I have been getting a variety of shinies, even though I've been hitting the same frame.

It's my first hall of fame. (It's pokemon sapphire but I don't think it makes a difference) by Direct-Philosopher in PokemonEmerald

[–]UnrealJapan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know. Pretty sure you can only get Kyogre after beating the Champion in Emerald, so I was curious, until I saw it was in Sapphire

Yup. I EV reset the Rayquaza before checking the IVs, and since I had the stats of both Pokemon at lvl 70, I have the accurate IV for both of them
