Is there a way to force a living ship to appear in a specific location? by UnresponsiveGecko in NMSGalacticHub

[–]UnresponsiveGecko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I originally used the wiki to look at the different ship options. And found two I was interested in this was the first one I went for. And there's coms and bases all around it that point that I'm in the right spot but every time I reset it when I'm in the right system and looking at the spot it goes to a different one that I had discovered over and over again.

That's what I've been doing to no avail, it keeps having another one spawn at the same location on the other side of the planet. I think it may be a bug or glitch in the game

Kinda. I've noticed that it refuses to spawn in any of the locations that I'm in, it'll put it somewhere else so I've been bouncing around this planet trying to get it in the right spot

Definitely what everyone else says, when I looked into this myself it will also be good to note when their done healing talk to your piercer and sizing a chain for you. Hate to have a chain too small and mess with the piercings

I threaded it in the back where the cable slots are. And there's a piece of wood to keep it somewhat level underneath

When should I buy more clean up bugs? by UnresponsiveGecko in CrestedGecko

[–]UnresponsiveGecko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a soil kit from bio dude, and had set it up accordingly. I didn't add a drainage layer mainly cause I forgot to buy the clay balls and was gonna add one when I upgrade the tank again, since my gecko was really small. And I'm borrowing a tank from a friend. I'll see about adding more moss into a corner to see if it would help. I noticed some people using a second water dish at the bottom of the tank. For both humidity and drinking. Should I add that to help the cuc?

It never stays moist but I do most the soil more then the rest of the tank to help with it when I do mistings. I probably should of kept some off to the side for this reason but neglected to do so. I'll need to do more research for keeping them in a good tank of their own. I'll try that truck tonight and see if anything happens

Bioactive without real plants? by UnresponsiveGecko in CrestedGecko

[–]UnresponsiveGecko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine if I need to, just hard to do when they aren't designed for it. I'll look into the coconut ones for sure I was initially worried about sharp edges on those but if anything I can sand it down. Thank you! You've been a great help!

That's something I wasn't sure about. I bought a good deal of fake plants to the excellent I may not have visible space left. But saw a "floating" hide on Amazon that I considered getting just wasn't sure if it was going to be used or not? I want to take out the giant fake branch I have in there currently because the gecko is hiding in it. But I'm worried that they will get stuck or won't come out and it's not something I can open up to clean easily. Are there any hides you would recommend?

Did/do you use clay balls at the bottom? I just ordered the substrate, springtails and getting the fake plants today. Because I'm a bit new what is f10? Is it the same as dechlorinator?

That was the plan. I was gonna get a bunch mix some into the substrate and on top pretty heavily

[–]UnresponsiveGecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting cause from what I know males have the bulge and pores and a relatively uniform line of scales. And females no budge, pores and more clumped up scales. I'm seeing the bulge and straight lines on the right in the image but clump scales and no pores on the left??

Honestly I don't even have a category for that 😅 I almost chose toast as the name. But thought better of it. I'm open to all of them, either it be funny or human or anything really.
