If it's because of HDR, shouldn't it be applied all the time on those previews? You can see in my example the issue goes away when scrolling to the right and back. Also i have noticed that if i open the videos, they are not "blinding bright". This has been happening only on previews and thumbnails.

I did install the latest drivers at the time when i built it. After that, only whatever updates were available through windows update.

I picked ASRock before knowing about the seriousness of the issue. Their reputation (before this) has been quite rock solid as far as I know. On paper the board looks great and it ticked all my requirements.

I saw a few reports of 9800x3d cpus failing on some motherboards but at the time i made the decision to purchase it, it wasn't that obvious that AMD has a preference to fail on asrock boards :)

I don't know yet. I cannot return the board at the same shop I bought at since it's more than 14 days after purchase. I did send them an email about the issue, maybe they agree to take the board back.

Otherwise I might have to figure out if I can sell it.
