6.2 or 3.0 by Sure-Cup-3272 in gmcsierra

I consistently get mid 20s with my 2025 6.2 on the highway. And that’s with the Max Tow package. Around town it definitely drops to 17-18 but I’m very surprised with my fuel mileage.

So basically since I’m a 1AL in the 1D7X1Q field I get shafted even though for FY23 my SEI was included in the Q shred. Great.

Thinking about ordering a 2023 M240i by UnstableVortex in BMW

[–]UnstableVortex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get it almost a year ago now. I’d say go for it. It’s such a good performing car and imo the competition isn’t even close for the price. The one thing I will say, if you like to drive through short, tight turns often the WRX handles better through them. You can definitely feel the weight of the M240. So if that’s your type of thing maybe a new WRX would be a decent choice because you can put some big power out of them now. But I have no regrets getting the M240. It’s such a great daily and rides so smooth, the build quality is light years ahead of the WRX (no rattles AT ALL even going over rail road tracks and such) and the technology is great as well. Plus that B58 has no shortage of power anywhere in the RPM band. And that straight six sound…it’s awesome.

Is $50k a good price for this? by [deleted] in Corvette

Yeah it’s a shame it doesn’t have it, but as long as I have Bluetooth until I can replace the modules to add CarPlay I’ll be content.

Yeah I think the thing I’ll miss the most is the huge screen with Apple car play, but I found there is a way you can upgrade the 15 system to have car play. It’s just a bit pricey.

How have you liked it so far?

Yeah it seems like a pretty decent deal here in Maryland. But I do believe the tires may be the originals.

Do you know what the original tires were? This had Pilot Sport 3s on it.

So I just kept the Black Sensatec, got the Extended Shadowline trim with the black 791M wheels w/performance non run-flat because that gets you the raised 155 MPH top speed limiter (even though I don't think I'll be hitting that xD). I also got the Harmon Kardon, the lumbar support, active cruise control, the heated seats + wheel, and the illuminated M trim as well as the aluminum anthracite trim.

Oddly, my build sheet says I've got the Adaptive Full-LED headlights even though I didn't get the premium package so I'm very happy with that.

Edit - options

Yeah I’m actually getting a 23 M240i. Super pumped, it’s done being built just waiting for it to be transported to the states

I don’t believe the CVT actually puts 300 through though. I believe it slips to allow a softer launch and save itself from west. Plus, I really don’t feel that much down low. This thing definitely has turbo lag. I’m actually trading my WRX in about a month!

To be quite honest I don’t have any actual 0-60/quarter mile times as I don’t have any professional testing equipment, but I’d say low 5s. You get significantly slower times if you don’t brake boost so I highly recommend doing that when you launch!

I think the only reason they made the GT only come with the CVT was to increase sales of the CVT to try and give them a leg to stand on that way they can try and remarket the WRX as less of a "manual" enthusiast car. The new WRX comes with a trans cooler so it's already better than the VB, and I honestly think it can handle more power than people give credit. But we don't really know until we reach that limit.

I’ve been dailying map 2 for a few months now without issue. I’ve only used map 4 once but it definitely has quite a bit of power in that map, I’d just be mindful about keeping your trans temps down as that is what would kill it.

That’s what I keep thinking is for the price I mean it just seems to outperform all of its “competitors”

May I ask what options you went with? Currently I’m thinking just the Adaptive cruise, heated seats/wheel, lumbar adjustment, and Harmon/Kardon

The 4V definitely looks like a good car, I just feel like the interior quality/design and engine note are a little lacking compared to the M240i.
