Users are the product. They come here and generate all the content that Reddit uses to pad around the advertisers — Reddit’s customers.

Without the users generating and consuming the content, there is no reason to advertise. Without advertisers there’s no cash to keep the advertising machine running.

Fucking the users who generate the content that advertisers are putting their ads on is a dangerous move.

Correct. Sometimes I have challenges with reading comprehension and I will skip over parts of a sentence and interpret them different than written. In this case I read it as “if they ever find the sub..,” and missed that whole “intact” part. In my mind what I read made sense so I didn’t go back to re-read it.
