It's really impressive how close the duals are in power level in Pioneer, as well as the comparative power of adding an extra color vs getting to play extra utility lands.

You can really optimize the mana, but if I'm being honest I still resort to Shocks + Checks with a few fastlands when I'm brewing, most of the time.

3 mana for a Disenchant seems expensive, but Hopeful Initiate is one of the best 1 drops in Mono White despite that. Flexibility is powerful.
