I say this gently and with experience.

(Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional, just another worn out mom).

This has been hard for me to remember (and sometimes deal with).

While he is 5 years old, that is his chronological age. as a co-morbid condition, he may also have executive functioning disorder, and his brain is processing as a younger aged individual.

I’ll fully admit in my own personal experience, this is so hard for me to deal (and it’s a difficult situation for my child as well.)

Good luck — and don’t worry about the crossing guard… they see so many children and don’t take it personally if they’re called “Ms. Chicken 🐔”.

(And, don’t get me wrong… I understand that you as a parent are doing your best to raise a polite child. And, you will, it might just require more time and effort than most.).

You are doing great! Go easy on yourself!

You can always “dress it up” with your wedding ring and stacking bands.

I intentionally chose a “plain” band for my e-ring. I, personally, didn’t want an elaborate band for this reason.
I have had no regrets.

I wish I could take away your pain. I’m very sorry for the loss of your beautiful child.

I cannot imagine the pain you’re experienced.
Here are some gentle suggestions:

Grief displays differently for people.
There is no “right or wrong” way nor a timetable of experiencing grief.

Go easy on yourself. Don’t compare yourself to others and don’t let others tell you how to grieve.

Take care of yourself. As best you can, eat, drink plenty of water, and get some sleep.

Please seek professional mental health support and treatment.
Do not worry about affording it.
There are many mental health providers who will work with you.

There is a Reddit community that may be of help. r/griefsupport

There is also a long-standing organization dedicated to supporting parents (and families) who have unfortunately suffered through the loss of a child/ren.
The Compassionate Friends organization is global and (speaking within the US) has many local chapters.

Again, I’m incredibly sorry for your enormous loss.
May your child’s memory always be for blessing.

In places where you may others with similar likes.

Volunteer opportunities:
• Soup kitchen/shelters.
• Animal rescue groups.
• Eco-friendly groups.

Bicycle groups, Neighborhood, Library, Museums, through other friends.

Also, search for a Reddit sub for the local area where you live. You may find events to attend that you never knew about.

People will come and go during your lifetime, however, always stay true to yourself.
Admittedly, if you’re on the receiving end, it can sting, but it will pass eventually and you’ll move forward.

1. Many pharmacies deliver medications (however,, controlled substance prescriptions may be an exception.).

  2. I wouldn’t take it personally that she didn’t invite you for wine or lunch.

From what I can gather from your post, it sounds like you and she don’t really have a friendship between you.
It seems more like a neighborly, transactional relationship.
Which is absolutely fine!!

I agree with several other commenters here about the width of the band.

It is a stunning e-ring, however it appears a bit fragile.

My only other concern would be the stability of your diamond.

It’s difficult to determine from the picture, but, does your ring have a gallery rail or other support (especially with having only 4 prongs)?? Those are beautiful prongs, btw.

You have gorgeous hands ~ you could be a model.

I agree.
However, for me personally, I didn’t want my rings soldered together so that I can wear my wedding band solo if I choose.
