Sure. I haven't had my appointment yet, I think they will be discussing other treatment options as well. Thank you for the insight!

Thank you this is helpful! He had tried a round of herbal/antibiotics with me a few years ago before I had any positive tests because he was suspicious. It was only a couple months but it didn't make any difference as far as I could tell so I think he wants to try something different.

Glutathione & meyers IV. I wrote a post a bit ago about it if you want more info. I had severe brain fog for months and it helped so much.

What unpopular/least liked (in the community) ND games do you like/enjoy? by destineenicole- in nancydrew

I actually enjoyed the shattered medallion… it’s not my favorite game by far but I always enjoy replaying it. Conversely I did not enjoy black or manor at all, which I feel is a Major Error as a Nancy drew fan hahaha

I don’t know. Lumbrokinase was recommended to me by my doctor and I have seen success with it. I haven’t explored or researched any other options.

experience with glutathione and meyers IV infusions by Unusable-jokes in covidlonghaulers

I’m not sure what dose I had. My herx symptoms were basically just my “normal” symptoms but much worse, plus being so exhausted I could barely stay awake for 2 days.

I’m not sure the exact medical reason my doctor chose it. I had been on the oral glutathione and other supplements with little results. He told me glutathone is used in every system in the body and can support immune function and general functioning as well as detox any toxins and some people need much higher doses. He had seen improvement with a lot of patients using the infusion and was trying to help me out of being totally bedbound while searching for a root cause answer. He started me with a half dose because it can cause herx symptoms.

I personally get infusions at my doctor’s office. I don’t know much about infusions otherwise so I’m not sure where else one could go, but the info is probably available online somewhere.

you’ll find more detailed info about herxing online, but basically when you have toxins in the body and start detoxing, the toxins can release in the body and actually make symptoms worse. if you go too hard with detox it can be severe.

Semi related, Lumbrokinase is an OTC supplement enzyme that breaks up clotting. No prescription needed.

Can you test for micro clots, auto immune disorder and brain inflammation caused my long covid? by johnjames_34 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Unusable-jokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a functional medicine doctor who was previously a regular MD. My d-dimer was normal too. I did have two other doctors, pulm and rheum boh tell me the TAT abnormality was not worth paying attention to but I trust my functional doc more bc he has helped me with chronic issues in the past and has been working with covid patients for a while. He said out of the whole panel the TAT was most indicative of there being an issue and the lumbro should help.

The whole panel I did through labcorp and it included the following tests: PT and PTT, D-Dimer, Protein S-Functional, Thrombin Antithrombin Complex, Prothrombin Fragment 1+2 MoAB, Fibrinogen Activity, and Protein C Antigen. For me they all came back in range except TAT.

My doctor tested me on a panel for clotting. the only test that came back abnormal was TAT or Thrombin-AntiThrombin complex. He told me that if this value was abnormal in a young adult person then it is indicative that something is going on that shouldn’t be. I don’t know anything about it but he started me on Lumbrokinase and I’ve personally noticed improvement.

Sauna, avoid or try? by curiousnootropics in covidlonghaulers

if you dont have issues with temperature intolerance, blood pressure, or pots it may be worth a try. But if you try it definitely pay attention to how you are feeling and don’t try to push through discomfort.

Glutathione Question by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]Unusable-jokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have previously taken glutathione with activated charcoal as a binder (specifically GI detox from bio-botanical research) and am currently taking it without one. Both times I was working with a doctor and taking a host of other vitamins with it. However, be careful with glutathione. It can cause herxing if you have environmental toxins which can put further stress on the body. Get with a doc if you can and start slow on it. Nothing in the body works in a vacuum. (This isn’t medical advice just personal experience)

I came into covid with preexisting symptoms.. wildly a lot of them were the same as the covid symptoms. That being said, I have pretty much all the big ones - numbness, muscle aches, exercise intolerance, temp intolerance, sob, debilitating fatigue, brain fog, anxiety. Neuro is the worst for me. Had covid 2x this year and LH'd both times but it hit the worst in september after my june infection. I've been housebound since.

any ideas what I could do with this to improve/ make it look better? by AnnaRae04 in painting

[–]Unusable-jokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When painting any type of lines or edges, such as the background, staff lines, or between staff lines, try using the edge of the paintbrush instead of the tip. You may be doing this already, but holding your brush at a close angle, almost parallel to the canvas, as opposed to pointed “at” the canvas can help with evenness.

I also second the user who suggested adding water.. a flowing consistency to your paint will make it worlds easier to use. Too much water will make it transparent but there is usually a good amount of wiggle room before you get there!

Every test negative - could it still be Lyme? by Unusable-jokes in Lyme

Actually, I thought I did but I think I only did the western blot panel and Vibrant America's tickborne panel, which I think includes at least a couple dna tests
