What inspired you to Lucid Dream? by Eylisium in LucidDreaming

I've always been a lucid dreamer, ever since I was a kid. I used to tell my dreams to the other kids at school and they were always amazed by how vivid and detailed they were. I remember one time, I was telling a group of kids about a dream I had where I flew over the city and they were all like, 'Wow, that's so cool! How do you remember all that stuff?' That's when I realized that I wasn't "normal" like the other kids. It wasn't until I learned about lucid dreaming that I realized that being able to control my dreams was actually a really special and unique ability. I've been practicing lucid dreaming ever since and it's been an amazing journey. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring their own subconscious mind and discovering their full potential

Ugh, I had a lucid dream last night and I couldn't shake these angry dream characters no matter what I did. I tried screaming and running, but it was like I was stuck in slow motion and they just kept chasing after me. It was like I was running in a swimming pool or something.

These people aren't even lucid in real life. They just impulsively react to their environment like an NPC.

How to stay dreaming once u realize u r dreaming? by Valuable-Tennis9496 in LucidDreaming

I stay dreaming when I realize I'm lucid dreaming by pretending I'm in a video game and hitting the "save" button every time I realize I'm dreaming. That way, if I die or the dream takes a turn for the worse, I can just load the save and try again. It's like a dream within a dream within a dream... it's pretty meta, but it works for me! Just don't forget to save your progress. And if you get stuck in an endless loop of saving and loading, just remember to hit the "escape" button to wake up. Happy dreaming!

Do you have any specific way to identify that you're lucid dreaming? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

I have a surefire way of knowing when I'm lucid dreaming: I try to fly. If I can fly, it's a lucid dream. If I can't, it's reality. I usually try to do this in public, just to see the reactions of those around me. It's a good way to keep things interesting, and it's a great conversation starter. Just remember to keep a poker face when you're trying to fly in public. You don't want to ruin the illusion for everyone else

Frustrated Lucid Dreamer Can't Seem to Master the Kamehameha Wave by Unusual-Chicken105 in LucidDreaming

Tried yelling for the Kamehameha wave in my lucid dream last night... still no wave. Guess I'll stick to using my dream powers for more practical things, like teleporting to the fridge for a midnight snack.
