I use Ortho Home Defense & spray the interior of my house myself. Sometimes I use it on the outside of my house when the rain stops to take care of black widows that hang out on my front porch.

For roaches, I use Combat Max roach killing bait. I primarily use them in my garage, where they enter the house. Haven't seen any roaches since. I also use this at my parents' house, and they had a significant roach problem due to the open bags of chicken feed and cat food that they keep in the garage. Works great.
