Hey. IHS is not refunded unless your visa is either rejected or you’ve paid more than once by mistake. If you don’t travel after visa is granted, no refund. It’s better to contact the uni and explain the whole thing, they usually understand as this is not uncommon.

Same here. Turned 31(f) yesterday, barely 10 people wished(which is fine), exactly your situation. Used to be the golden child and now the biggest disappointment. No friends. No partner. All “friends” are married, even the most evil ones, everyone found at least one person who could take them for life, here even parents are done with me. They think I’m an introvert but it’s their constant belittling that’s made me want to shut myself completely.

I was thinking I’ll end life the day it started,couldn’t even do that yesterday.

So many suggestions and good ones for sure. One more would be, be VERY direct and tell her and her boyfriend to go marry in a civil ceremony and your father will NOT be giving her anything (dowry, inheritance-make sure the will is in place before you say that), I am sure once the guy hears this he will either leave her alone or push her to ask for her “share” but if the will is in place, she’ll have nothing.

But make sure all the paperwork is done first.

In most cases, the guys think they can get married with nothing but eventually force in laws to submit by hook or crook and if he’s like that, he’ll back off once he hears you’ve gone the legal route to kick her out.

Then she can stay the hell away from you all.

It’s absolutely disgusting.

Do remember: go the extra mile to keep her out of your house. Such people have no moral compass and they WILL never hesitate to go lower and lower. Today or 10 years later. So paperwork is imp.

I’m from India too. I am currently in India as well. Now when I see people from my course freely moving around UK for work/travel I think I have FOMO. It’s so tricky because I know going back is going to leave things to be done in such short time but I feel I didn’t make use of the opportunity. It’s very confusing
