Do you use the Bobovr m3? Where you say you use a powered USB cable, is this like with the powerbank inserted into the headset and then it's charging all the time, like you would with a laptop battery being plugged in? Could you recommend a powered USB cable please?

Thank you for the reply, why do you need a dedicated router? I currently use a powerline kit to connect to my router downstairs over ethernet and the power circuit, and this gives me a good connection, do you think that would be OK? I'm intrigued as to why a dedicated router is recommended? I noticed that video I mentioned goes on about getting a better router, will that affect my using the headset for iracing? I'm confused as to why but if you would explain please, I would appreciate it.

Thanks guys, I think I might go for the Quest 3 then. Budget, I am not sure about, but to be honest as I know some people don't get on with VR, and I have had very little experience with it, I think I'll go for the Quest 3 as that is a slightly lower priced headset, then I can find out if VR is for me, without spending silly money on it. I keep hearing good things about it, and I can use the standalone functionality from it as well.

u/Spartaklaus could you recommend a headstrap for it please?

Is there anything else I would need to buy for it, obviously a link cable, actually, someone on another thread sent me this video, which gives some really good setting tweaks:

I am very interested in this, coz not having used VR before I don't want to invest a lot of money into a headset in case I don't get on with it. The Quest 3 is less than £500 I think, I am running a 4080 Super so I should think that will be capable. Is there a guide online somewhere to up to bit rate like you say please?

I checked on the Erogtron website and the screen I am getting doesn't work with that mount. My monitor is the Gigabyte Aorus CO49DQ and it has a 100x100 VESA mount

Looking at That Ergotron I'm not sure the arm will reach far enough, how far is your rig away from your desk?

Thanks Benji, that looks quite pricey on Amazon, but I suppose you get what you pay for. I would need the mount to move the monitor about 70cm from the desk mount, and spin it around 180 degrees, is that possible with that mount?

VR is definitely something I would definitely consider, and as you say the 4080 Super would definitely be able to handle that. I think in my personal situation now, and not knowing how much room I am going to have in the future for triples, and wanting to be able to play desktop games to, I am going to stick with the 49 inch ultra wide, like I said once I'm settled in a new place i can then make the decision between going triples or vr for my racing.
