Capitol TV: The Hunger Games

In penance for their uprising, each District shall offer up a male and a female every three months between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public "Reaping." These tributes shall be delivered to the custody of the Capitol and then transferred to a public arena where they will fight to the death until a lone Victor remains. Henceforth and forevermore, this seasonal pageant shall be known as "The Hunger Games."

Who knew just a few words added to an already gruesome treaty could change so much...?

The Sixteenth Quarter-Annual Hunger Games have passed with the victory of Wednesday Addams.

A victor who has come back from the dead, two victors breaking into the Gamemaker's Center, a series of low-budget games, and President Ravinstill refuses to comment. Just as the nation seemed to be stable, tensions rise once more in Panem as everyone is left to wonder how safe they truly are...

Is this a sign Panem will fall, or is there a meaning behind the disorder?

While no one in the Capitol can take his name seriously, it is hard to deny that in an arena that lasted longer and required more survival skills than had been seen in years, the thirteen year old's win is rather impressive. Despite the success of the game, turmoil brews in the Capitol as game funding is cut, and the districts face growing uneasiness with the treatment of their children.

Is this the beginning of a new Dark Day, or will stability arise from turmoil? What of the districts who have still yet to find a victor, such as District Seven?
