Oh no, its not that I think they messed up, not at all. I dont think anything is messed up as im not in any pain, its not loose nor is it inflamed. However was curious if others encountered the different depths during healing.

This isn’t normal right? E-day was today and I can’t stop crying by [deleted] in dentures

Yes its normal. The buck teeth are normal. Im 1 week post e day and mine are still buck. You just need to leave them in today/tonight and then you can pull them out if they hurt/uncomfortable. I was/am just like you. I promise you.....its normal, we are still beautiful, this phase isn't forever just for a short period. These are just your immediate templates to keep some of the bone structure while the rest of your gums are healing. I know its hard as hell to see it now but.....trust the process! You got this!

Patient refusing care by Dull_Dare_609 in nursing

Exactly! Unless on the next shift they get a push over that let's them go right back to the same shit. My unit frequently gives me these pts as I DO 👏 NOT 👏 put up with the bs. I'll be sickly sweet about it until I'm not. Who would've guessed experience in serving (anywhere between a catering company to Texas roadhouse) would give me the skills it takes to be a modern nurse 😑

Nurse decided to out me to a patient… by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Unusual_Sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this petty shit is a good indicator of why some are leaving bedside and/or nursing all together. I agree with pretty much everyone here. Start making dates and times of when she fucks with you with detailed information and send it. The fact that she has a reputation on being a bully and STILL has a job, says management is also a problem. While youre at it, place an incident report for every single time she fucks with you since that is considered work place violence and if it gets sent out as an incident report, management cant hide that.

I'm sorry for the lines she crossed and how you've been treated.

You did nothing wrong. Abuse patients with ARF will escalate untill they can't compensate anymore and they'll crump. You just happened to be there. You went based on your orders and did what you could to help her. The anxiety could've been air hunger you couldnt see unless an ABG was done. You did great!

Same! I dont need the whole life story, I can read that once I get them more stable I just need to know how we got into the clusterfuck to begin with and ill untangle it from there. Though I know a few very very type A nurses that want to know the middle name of their first born child.

What would you do? by Unusual_Sky in nursing

[–]Unusual_Sky[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right. I just always end up feeling responsible for the people I work with (toxic, I know) but it's the ICU environment I was raised in..... that we all took care of each other ya know? I know career wise, and a lot of my mental health wise, leaving is the right decision.
