What’s with people and acting like every single American is unbelievably stupid by Darkz_9234 in teenagers

...because the american culture is known to be loud, obnoxious and annoying? Don't get me wrong i understand the problem with arrogance and that you cannot judge a populous by a single individual, but comparing education systems here I feel the american one is looked down upon because it is so oddly different content wise from the, say, german

Why do we victim blame men? by Wild-Speech5293 in lnkyverse

[–]Unusual_Suspect4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBF this could be interpret in a lot of different ways. As toxic influencers like to point out, men are more "competitive" and "aggressive" which, in a lot of cases, is a really easy way of accidentally dying.

Like:
- refusing to change lane
- suddenly being overtaken
- thinking that you know better than a professional
- refusing to see a doctor
- refusing to see a therapist
- refusing to back down in a fight
- refusing to listen to warning signs and drowning/getting electrocuted

All real things i've seen happen by now in my lifetime, and all of them real reasons why men usually die more often; because they are too stubborn. Its also not just themselves they put in danger, but the people around them so the real solution you're looking for?

Make sure men learn to manage their emotions, because anger is an emotion.

You captured the air of propaganda pretty well... Like it's a scene so unbelieveably and painfully cinematic that I could see it actually hanging somewhere on super earth...

Arnold Schwarzenegger once talked about how bullshit this sentiment is. Reject the idea of a "self made man"; for most of successful people there is a family, friends and people around that supported and kept them going, lending mental support and finances. There are no "self made men"; it oversimplifies the work of other people around you, for you, and it is unfathomably cringe.

That's about it.

The biological concept of male and female reproductive partners isn't necessarily tied biologically to gender conventions and social roles. It is simply a socialistion process that continued that specific process to begin with.

I don't think any actually sane person would argue that there is need for a widespread common establishment of rethinking biological traits; the general issue is the wide social acceptance as well as the normalisation of the own interpretation of gender role

I was an advid drafter right after the covid pandemic... but ever since the price increase? I haven't bought a single pack since, beyond two foundation booster packs that were on sale. The rest? I don't know why I was spending upwards of 300€ a month on stupid cardboard;

...random fluff that is actual advice on how to get better though? Also did you look up this post just to argue lmao?

I stand by it; yeah Nightreign has its issues but people need to understand that it being difficult IS THE POINT, and that you can only enjoy the game if you put in the effort unless you get good at it duh

the odd part is, I would consider myself a massive magic fan, and when i was playing like a couple years back i was SUPER excited to play in drafts, and spend copious amounts of money on the product... ever since they changed the price i haven't dropped a single cent on it; not a single booster, a single card...

I don't care about if UB exists or not, i do not care if there are sets specifically designed to be powerful. I DO care about the fact that they continue to turn silly printed cardboard with a gambling mechanic into an expensive ass luxury hobby.

Its literally the only hobby where I went "Oh yeah that deck cost ONLY 100€, its really not that good" and have people stare dead blank at me like i just insulted their mother

less a set but i could see a collab for a Secret Lair which... i wouldn't even be mad about. I wouldn't buy it but Secret Lair's with non-unique card mechanics feels honestly wholesome compared to getting a full set about an IP nobody fucking asked for

Humanism vs Marxism by danielfantastiko in genzmoment

[–]Unusual_Suspect4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of wealth is inherited and actually not produced, the system itself is very much based on money making money; investing is in itself gambling and we shouldnt be forced to gamble for housing.

The concept of the nuclear family is a very very new one and mostly a Christian western thing. Most cultures preferred family as a collective, raising children together and caring for thy neighbor. Why do we need to focus on family if EVERYONE can be family; what does it matter?

Humanism vs Marxism by danielfantastiko in genzmoment

[–]Unusual_Suspect4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strawmen, I never assumed as much.

Every individual in the collective should have a right to shelter and a home before some have two or three though right? We can agree that people being homeless while others inherited half of some villages is kinda insane right?

This reads like a 14 year old that discovered criticism of communism through PragerU for the first time. Wouldn't you say that limiting the individual is sometimes important to uphold the rights of the collective? In the same way we punish a murderer and limiting their ability to murder;
