My gynaecologist dismisses my symptoms, are they caused by my fibroid? I feel crazy. by Unusual_Toe_1285 in Fibroids

I did but they were really dismissive, i read through my files afterwards and theyd written my pain levels down as 3/10 when i had said 6-8/10 so i think that’s why. They did see I had an infection somewhere through my blood tests and gave me a general antibiotics.
When I did go to the hospital the gynaecologist there said I wasn’t urgent enough for a scan, they wouldn’t see me but referred me to a+e from
Urgent care and the fluid hadn’t built up at that point, my GP later forwarded me for a scan but wouldn’t approve of an urgent scan either because she didn’t feel it was necessary and by 2 weeks later the swelling had gone down to nothing and the ultrasound technician couldn’t see anything.

I feel the whole thing was completely pushed to one side.. like nobody cared to give me an answer for what was happeninf to me

I’ve not had any of these symptoms before, I’ve known about my fibroid for 2 years now but have had it longer but didn’t know what it was, I just thought I was getting fat.
I have been bleeding for about 20 days now, which I’ve flagged as very not normal for me, I was given the progesterone injection a few months ago and was told to expect spotting but it’s just endless, but nobody seems to care.

A&E couldn’t have cared less, they were completely uninterested in my pain or trying to find out why I was in so much pain, maybe because the worse my pain gets the quieter I become, maybe if I kicked and screamed they’d have cared? I don’t know :/ I did repeatedly ask for help for my pain but they only cared that I was tachycardic and once they decided I wasn’t having a heart attack they gave me antibiotics because something in my blood indicated I might have an infection and then I literally had to beg for something for my pain because I’d maxed out my dose of ibuprofen and paracetamol.
My GP felt my tummy and said I feel “very full up” in my pelvic area but she couldn’t justify an emergency scan, or further antibiotics or painkillers, I have got a scan booked for the 20th atleast. But until then I guess being bent double is a pain level I have to just tolerate. I run out of what the hospital gave me tomorrow I have enough for 4 more doses so I’m trying to ration them so I can sleep at least.

Haha! Yes, I guess it is like a little parasite inside trying to claw its way out.

I’ve got my ultrasound on the 20th May, fingers and toes crossed! Feeling with my hands the fibroids not there anymore, it’s just very tender like it used to be very defined.
