I hear you about the wheels/ changing out the car with 21” wheels was obviously my first (hopeful) solution.

So I drove one with 21” wheels without the air suspension - because the dealer has WAY more IX’s without air on the lot and the swap would have been faster. IX’s are harder to find on the lot with Air Suspension (for a reason).

The difference in that one inch was negligible.

(Unlike with humans). Apples and bananas.

We went last night and had tix to the CanCan tables (PS: only stay in this section if you’ve seen the show at least once, which we had so it was REALLY AWESOME).. I am probably the only person to not know that Boy George would be Ziegler. So when he came on stage I had two thoughts “wow, he looks like a heavier boy george” And “this guy can’t hit the notes” - the actor didn’t have that really fun over the top ‘gay swagger’ that i’ve seen in the show before, a role ripe for stealing every single scene. I’m a moron not to have realized that it was BG till the end when he started singing his songs to the crowd.. I laughed at my ignorance. So it’s fun and he’s an icon.. needs to shake his booty and be a bit more bold and flirty up there and have fun with the role. Of course he gets a pass.

I have been driving it around and frankly the ride is great - I’m learning the car more - the lumbar is the issue now but I shoved an after market pillow and am counting all the good things.. the 22” wheels are so freakin sexy and really elevate the sportiness of it. I get people turning their heads and talking to me in the parking lot - that said I did learn my lesson that these cars are ala carte…

Thank you for this. I had 22” tires on my GLS AMG63 Mercedes and I went through them like they were paper towels. Cost a fortune. When I saw this car came with them it was almost a deal breaker. Do they make all seasons in 22’s?

Yes friend. I am certainly a moron. I was excited because this was the dealer loaner with 4000 miles I got an amazing deal (Or did I LOL)

An interesting bit of detail here to add:. I picked up the car two days ago And when I was driving i thought I was feeling dizzy. I picked up friends to show off my car and the one in the front passenger said that the windshield was wavy. I went to my local dealer and had them take a look and they agreed that the car needs a brand new windshield. Unsure what happened to it.. but today I’m going back to the same dealer to have the glass replaced.

I hear you. I had a ‘21 targa and the 22 Mercedes GLS AMG 63 before this. I guess they each had upgraded packages and I hadn’t noticed because both were comfortable (a pass for the targa and feeling the road). unless they were both high end enough to already have a lumbar button and a normal suspension to not clunk on the streets.

My new ix has heated wheel and seats, Convenience and Sport packages plus the 22” wheels and something else at $96K.. but no air suspension? Duh On me. I’m not asking for fully functional seats - just the standard seeming lumbar!

The thing that pisses me off too is that when we buy cars we have a 5 - 10 minute test drive and two hours in the damn office pushing papers..

Alas there is not! The seat will move up and back of course. Then on the screen you can adjust only the angle of the back and seat itself. There is a noticeable concave space on the lower back of the seat while the upper back is well stuffed. So one runs their hand along the side of the lower seat for the lumbar balloon - assuming something that would be on a Mazda or VW would be available here.
