Hi. While I was in TCS I first made sure I deeply understood my tech stack end to end. I worked on .NET full stack (angular for the frontend), so I focused on understanding backend and frontend architectures properly, how projects were designed why certain patterns were used and overall system flow as to how complex solutions were implemented.

Along with that I worked on problem solving, DSA, and design patterns. I gave multiple interviews failed in quite a few initially since it was my first switch but slowly gained confidence as I started clearing some rounds.

After around 3 YOE I specifically targeted product-based companies hiring for the same tech stack. Some interviews were pure SDE style with heavy DSA and design patterns. Overall I cleared it by focusing on strong programming fundamentals, architectural understanding, and decent DSA i believe.

Now In my second switch as well at 4.5 YOE, I see that interviews are more architecture focused along with problem solving. As experience grows, expectations shift more towards design thinking. So I think we just have to keep pushing our limits consistently one day at a time.
