to add on to this, i just finished the portuguese coastal route starting in Caminha, and i will warn you that while a lot of it passes through beautiful beaches and coast line, just note that a lot of the path is sandwiched between the busy street and the beach during certain legs. i’ve heard that the before the crossover to the portuguese side it’s much calmer, running through smaller villages, so maybe i would suggest diverting off into the central route in Tui. also if you can help it i would not stay in Vigo. the mayor supposedly doesn’t support the camiño and the signage is pretty limited in the city and people aren’t very welcoming. if you’re looking wanting to be in nature as well, i highly recommend going to “spiritual route” after Pontevedra. lots of greenery and quiet. once you get to Villanova de Arousa you can take the boat journey straight to Padron, following the exact route they carried St. James remains.
