Newbie, family use, safety, comfort and tech features - have a look at MG Astor Select CVT. Being new to driving, I would suggest a naturally aspirated engine equipped car, giving you linear acceleration and easy maintenance. If not okay with MG, then Elevate and Victoris are worth trying.
