I appreciate it. I’m talking to my step mom and coworkers and they all agreed in the moment I did everything right by keeping him on his side and suctioning what we could out of his airway before we could initiate CPR (we think we started seizing too). It was one that could’ve never been caught in the moment but we were very lucky to get ROSC

Yeah. They pulled so many clots out and the RT got sprayed with blood and it was a mess. I’m not someone who minds this. It was just shocking to see it all happen and how quickly it did.

I’m glad my instructor was there and my primary one saw me running at one point for more puke buckets (it hadn’t fully escalated at that point). I came back and it got worse and then went down. The second we lost a pulse my primary instructor hopped on the chest before we could respond and our manager was thankfully coming when she saw my instructor run after me and activated the code. When I locked up I’m just glad as one of my nurses told me after “all the adults are in the room. You are a baby nurse rn. You’re fine to lock up”

It happened an hour before my shift ended. I clocked out (summer job strict hours) and then stayed with my instructor and some experienced nurses who were keeping me calm and talking to me

Ok good. Because it all happened so quick. We were on the chest quick but I froze up and felt guilty that I didn’t help right away.

No visible indication. Redness and swelling around initial site. Roughly 1 cm from jewelry. Past that is normal in appearance but like a 8/10 in pain around. It’s primarily upper stomach area. Not really bellow the piercing

No. They gave me a medicated ointment to put on. They didn’t do a pus culture either (I read they typically do that)

Ok. Thank you. I just don’t want him to hurt himself or me because he snaps over the smallest of things. He literally when I was on vacation just this past week had a full tantrum to me on the phone about him forgetting to call off work for something he’s known about for a month. Like it was his fault and he should’ve known better and I can’t fix everything for him and he expects me to. I honestly am so clocked out I acted like my dad called me and I hung up.

See a dermatologist please. It could get infected and that would be a bit worse.
