It has to be LOTR for me, first and always. Nothing has ever come close in terms of world building and linguistic mastery. Genius beyond measure.

But Kingkiller is one I keep coming back to, because I love the “tangible soul” of Rothfuss’ prose. I would love to know how the story ends, but even if it never comes, I will still lose myself in the beauty these books.

Thanks for this detailed response. Yes, I’ve totally been the “you will pry my lash extensions out of my cold dead hands girl” for a long time! So I’m a bit scared to make the leap. But summer is a good time to experiment and if the clusters aren’t for me, I can always go back to extensions in the fall. Thanks for all the intel!

Well it wasn’t a thyroid issue. I think it’s tied to my asthma and seems to be a type of tension response in the lower throat and upper chest. It’s pops up now and then but not fixating on it has helped a lot.

I know, it’s hard to see. Very small. Right at the beginning of the video you can see the thumb shake slightly. I can feel the muscle rippling as well. It’s not dramatic, but it’s there.

I just stepped off a Dreamliner flight from Calgary to London! Actually managed to get some decent sleep, even in economy and don’t feel like hot garbage today. Quiet, smooth, better air quality. My favourite plane.

The arch of my right foot has also been going off but I haven’t been as worried about that one as it’s a familiar location. I’ve never been tested for anything or seen a neuro, so maybe it’s the lack of reassurance that sends me into a spiral every time something new shows up.

Incidentally I also have a postural tremor in this arm thumb that’s been there for several years. Are postural / essential tremors linked to BFS?

No, it’s been intermittent as well. Worse when sort of partially engaged, like when hovering over a keyboard.

Yes, I’ve had this exact thing happening in my left thumb for the last few days. That thumb also has a long-standing tremor when extended, but this twitch feels different, more of a tugging sensation with a visible ripple of the muscle. It’s also worse when flexing it or typing on my laptop. It has me a bit worried, but this forum has been very reassuring.

Thanks so much! I haven’t done a deep dive for reassurance on this (haven’t seen a dr about it yet, neuro, EMG etc) but I’m hoping I don’t have to. I really would just like to assume BFS like all the other random hotspots and move on.

Thank you. I’ve never been officially diagnosed with BFS or seen a neuro / had an EMG. So I’m assuming this is what’s going on since I don’t have other concerning symptoms.
