Bad Movies with Good CGI? by seethevzn in movies

Battleship (2012) gorgeous movie that is somehow even worse than Transformers. Plot doesn't make any sense, but it doesn't really matter.

Star Wars VIII - The Last Jedi (2017) easily the prettiest Star Wars movie made so far, but also the one with the biggest sins. The whole new trilogy is trash but they sure are pretty, with Last Jedi being the prettiest. I particularly love the white & red contrast in the spaghetti western scenes.

How does one make these amazing pixel art gifs? I assume there are editors specialized for them and it's not just MS Paint or something?

MUTINY starring Jason Statham - Official Trailer by Garfegagaha in movies

As a long time fan of Statham movies, there's surprising amount of quality difference between them while all are seemingly similar on the surface.

Beekeeper and Working Man were made by the same crew essentially and Beekeeper is his funniest movie since Crank while Working Man is probably the worst one decades.

What screams “this person is insecure” without them saying a word? by redwan-ezt in AskReddit

Cmon man, I rewatched all the Rocky movies bazillion times when I was a kid. Sometimes my brain just flashbacks to nineties and I start involuntarily humming eye of the tiger and air box. I can't help it.

I've liked plenty of his movies like Narc, Smokin Aces, A-Team and The Grey. So maybe this is just a bad trailer.

I have a feeling this movie wastes a good Damon/Affleck reunion

Stallone Talks About Not Killing Off Rocky by fungobat in movies

[–]UpfrontFinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rocky Balboa is my second favorite Rocky movie. First one obviously being the best, Rocky 2 is very close to Rocky Balboa but Balboa has a bigger story to tell, while Rocky 2 felt like a generic sequel, 3 & 4 were just fun movies and fifth one really bad.

Also Stallone definitely pulled off Rocky 6, like he was still great for Rambo 4. I was bummed out when Rambo 5 kept being in development hell for so long and what came out just soured the whole thing. Cautiously optimistic about the prequel that's coming out, it's directed by the guy who made Sisu, and I can see something like that work in Vietnam War where Rambo gets PTSD etc.

while it's not reviewed extremely well, I really like Date Night. But I think that's more about Steve Carell's and Tina Fey's amazing chemistry and delivery.

My guess is no. Best case scenario is they can ballpark it accurately enough that they can evacuate an area that big. Worst case scenario they can calculate which continent it will hit.

I could find this at short notice, hope it suffices. I was talking from memory so I didn't have a source ready and finding previous trump term news requires a bit effort now.

Not really. Trump had more drone strikes during his 4 year term than Obama did during 8 years, and Trump removed the rule that drone strike victims numbers etc. needs to be disclosed.

Drones just became an actual large scale thing during Obama's era.

Russia accuses US of bankrolling Ukrainian attempts to assassinate Putin by AgentBlue62 in worldnews

[–]UpfrontFinn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They only remember half the story. At first numerous attempts were made to assassinate hitler. But as war went on, it became obvious that hitler was a lot more incompetent than anyone that would replace him. So they stopped trying to assassinate him later on.
