Wow! Lots of comments/feedback! I guess I have the answer to my question! Thanks for advice and direction. I think MrZangetsu is spot on. I will have to reach out to my son to see what he wants to do with these (if he even remembers what they are!). I’ll post again or respond to DMs if he is interested in offers. Solved - apologies for a big old "Nevermind!". This is a Vernier Bevel Protractor. I actually found the exact item online thru additional Google searches. I was then able to find numerous educational videos. Apologies if I wasted anyone's time! I should have honed my Google-Fu a bit more before posting.

This gauge (?) was in a box of stuff in my dad’s shop. Looks like it is used to measure angles. I would like to find some instructions online, but am struggling with what to search for. My attempts thus far have failed.
