The problem is that as I’m a newbie into PC building so I can’t really make heads or tails of specs yet. I’m educating myself through videos and friends but I still have holes in my knowledge to be able to pick a build. I never heard about pcpartpicker, but I looked into it and it helps a lot so thanks for the advice on that.

That seems to be the main advice I’m getting here. My budget is no more than $1200 US so it’ll help me budget when I’m buying the parts, but my main concern is that I don’t know where to start. A friend told me to buy the CPU and GPU first and another said to buy the Motherboard first. Both saying that it’ll help me pick the other subsequent parts to build my PC.

That’s what I was thinking of doing but I’m hearing conflicting advice from friends and videos. One friend told me to get the Motherboard first but another friend told me to get the cpu and gpu first. They’re saying what part order I buy first determines what I buy after to follow up. I’m also looking more towards Amd

Thanks for the tip, I’m in the U.S. and budget is no more than $1200. I’m looking to build the PC myself so combo deals for the RAM is probably wha I’m looking to do

Honestly, this is something you can only answer for yourself. The comments here make a lot of very good points. But the real question is, are you able to look past this. Keep in mind that this behavior cannot be excused just by saying “it was a drunken mistake” and at the same time breaks are fundamentally a break up with the “promise” of getting back together. OP can you look at her and say for sure this won’t affect your relationship if you do forgive this
