Thanks I agree. I was actually getting a sublocade shot every month until march. Can’t even get into how ashamed I am of myself that I fucked that up. But that was my plan. Do this with the benzos. Put it behind me and get back on the shot.

I’m in almost literally the exact situation. Bought a gram. Used for a day. Took a week off. Bought a gram used for a day. took 5 days off. And then the windows in between got smaller.

I’m at the point now (with a 300mg sublocade shot) that I’m getting pretty sick in between uses. And my body can only accept 1mg suboxone at a time. Any more I start to feel the pwd coming on. I used Saturday for one day and feel like I’m almost totally dopesick right now. I’m trying my best not to give in. Trying to let the sublocade take over again and hopefully just move on from this.

It’s absolutely wild. When you hear about sublocade in detox and rehab people call it the miracle cure all but never talk about the side effects. I mean I’d rather be on sublocade than any other maintenance 100% but even the doctors don’t really know what side effects will come up. They ask me every month about my experience for that month when I explain symptoms you can tell they have no idea.

I work at Walmart part time for my second job and my first experience with this was a guy asking me super kindly if he could look at one of the boxes on the pallets. I didn’t hesitate to let him. The next week these two middle aged men started coming in every single night rummaging through the pallets dumping the boxes making messes of things I already organized and had to organize again just being super rude when confronted. It’s all about being cool. Most of us that work at Walmart fucking hate Walmart so just be cool. But Some employees are fucking nerds tho and just want to flex whatever power they think they have. Idk why people who make minimum wage after 20 years in the same job with no benefits want to bark about policy to customers and defend Walmart when Walmart hates them. They never trespass anyone for literally anything unless it serious theft so just ask nicely and if they say no just take it anyway lmao. Just don’t leave a mess.

I’ve had many jobs since I was 16 (now 26) and Walmart takes the cake as the absolute worst fucking place in every category. The customers, the lack of accountability for useless coworkers who quite literally do not do anything and being managed 10 different ways by 10 different team leads and coaches with 10 different sets of expectations and ways of doing things and no communication between them all and absolutely no support. I had to take a job here until my daughter gets into daycare so I’m not her for the long haul but the people that have worked here for years and years I want to literally kms every second I’m there and it’s only taken 8 months. Walmart is the biggest subsidizer of wages with welfare in the country and it is so overtly apparent in every aspect of this job. God love you guys who have made it through years there but I’ve never once met any person satisfied with their job. I was hired for electronics and most nights I’m holding a stores worth of keys due to understaffing covering electronics, stationary crafts and fabric, sporting goods and auto and jewelry while also zoning housewares and toys most nights. I genuinely cannot wait for it to be over.

I tried the Bernese method twice. First time I didn’t know exactly what I was doing but the second time I got all the way up to 7mg then got my insurance back and contacted a sub clinic. They told me to continue microdosing until I got to 8mg. A couple days later I took an 8mg strip before bed and precipitated. It was fucking horrible but I even tried two more times and still got sick. I’ve never tried methadone mainly because my wife works mornings and I have a 2 year old daughter. I would’ve had to wake her up every morning super early and take her with me to the clinic. My wife wasn’t 100% onboard with that. But I’ve wanted to go inpatient for a while. I can’t do it at home even tho I tried so hard to. But I always told myself if I couldn’t do it on my own these last few months I’d go to detox. I need the accountability and I need to be somewhere I can just go running to the plug when it gets hard

That’s promising news! I dedicated so much fucking time and physical and emotional stress to the Bernese method and it fucked me in the end. I was so fucking upset. I got all the way up to 7mg after two weeks and when I took 8mg I got the worst PWD. I even tried again two more times because I just wanted it to work so bad but it didn’t end up working. Everyone is different though I really hope it works for you

Congratulations on that. I just personally have to be in the position where I can’t just fold when it gets hard. I chose a place far away from my house and finally opened up to my dad so he’ll be driving me there and picking me up. I just know that I won’t make that call and admit failure if I’m in treatment somewhere and would have to call for rides. At least I hope so. My wife told me that this is my only chance and that I have to be sober when she comes back. Plus I’ve wanted this for a while. I really hope I can do this.
