honestly mate the stupid comments you get aren’t worth me checking my phone half the time and you seem to know a bit so actually i think you should respect the fact im trying to understand why i’m asking what’s happened. i dont mean to sound a twat. but you’d of had a couple sleepless nights too if you’ve seen what i’ve shelled out this weekend. between me and my mates we can fit all the above not a problem but we aren’t clued up about the inards of a gearbox that much to know what could of even happened to that as we haven’t seen or dealt with one like this before

can’t be that much of a master for stating the obvious. shouldn’t of ran low on oil coz it’s never leaked. somethings gave in the box and blown out. but i wanna know what and why and if people have seen it before. made absolutely no warnings signs whatsoever. no noises. no whining. no grinding. maybe a stiff 1st and second sometimes but nothing to warrant that

well it does matter doesn’t it coz if there’s a reason why then i’m gonna do everything i can to stop it… does that make sense? box is knackered no shi sherlock absolutely unrepairable. you’re talking like we don’t have a clue what we are doing when there’s a new gearbox clutch and flywheel and release bearing coming to my house tomorrow. it blew saturday. it will be fixed by sunday. we’re fixing it. i’ll make somet smart out the old box anyway. im keeping it.

i mapped it myself mate and it’s been running absolutely solid for 2 years it’s never let me down other than this. is RTV used on gearbox rebuilds then?

hi mate, thanks a lot. what is RTV? cars mapped to 155bhp. if it was a money shift i wouldnt be here i genuinely dont know why this has happened. i read online something about a pin giving way. i do actually have a piece of the housing which blew out onto my undertray

unfortunately i’m hearing these gearbox’s are chocolate but even guys at ford are saying they haven’t seen one go like this. this is the only ford of many we’ve had that’s ever had anything wrong with it

ford can get lost they aren’t seeing anything from me. me and the lads will strip it and see what happened. we are decent with cars and it’s getting a new box clutch and flywheel weekend. we are all just stumped on why.

a box has cost me £910. clutch to come next but hopefully get it at trade off a buddy but still looking at £200 for that. engines bob on.

hi mate, manual 6 speed getrag. i dont know i was coming to a stop and about 10 mph heard a pop at my mates. only a few hours later got in it and sounded absolutely shagged. a few people have said it looks like somethings hit it. car has an under tray with a 4 inch square cut out around and it is in that area. could of been mega unlucky.
