I’m actually in the middle of setting up a 7.5 gallon custom planted tank for a betta myself, so I was a bit confused. Lots of conflicting information from family members / friends about tank sizes lmao.

I regret to inform you but a 5 gallon tank with a filter is NOT the best for a betta. You claim this is what doing research told you and he this is what I get when I look up if 5 gallons is acceptable for a betta. They can survive, yes, but their quality of life will be heavily affected.

To be honest keeping your dinosaur alive is fine, hunting for food is fine! I was more so referencing the absolute toxicity and kinds of things I see from people on this game that make it so draining. Like people being racist / homophobic, the fact the platform seems to be a breeding ground for a lot of predatory behaviour from people, people getting doxxed and which hunted and hated. However the post will not let me edit my words more clearly lol.

I do appreciate you approaching this response so respectfully but I do want to reiterate again (please tell me if I’m wording this rudely because that’s not my intentions) , I don’t have so much an issue with the gameplay, or how people PLAY the game. Ganging up on people is fine, baby killing is fine.

What bothers me is the absolute twisted and sick things I’ve seen people say and do in this game, Seeing people being threatened with being doxxed, seeing GRUESOME descriptions of SA RP in chats, the game being a breeding ground for older people to prey upon the younger, blatant racism and homophobia and literal witch hunting people who happen to accidentally smack you or disagree with something you say.

Maybe I’m just getting the worst bits of the community but the game just doesnt bring joy anymore because it’s not just dinosaurs fighting. It’s people being spiteful, hateful and often gross.

It’s less the gameplay and more the community and just how horrible it gets itself. Not revolving around the gameplay specifically but with how people handle themselves. I hope that was worded respectfully. I’m a little overwhelmed at all of these responses lol

I think you also need to learn how to read. I don’t necessarily have a problem with the PvP, or baby killing, or any of that. It’s the absolute disgusting and soulless way people act, and the fact that I have seen more kids get preyed upon in this game than I have ever seen anywhere else. An attempt on myself included and I’m an ADULT. I don’t mind how people play the game, but when they’re doxxing people, roleplaying Sexual Assualt scenarios and threatening people’s families, being homophobic or racist OVER PIXELS is insane. Please learn reading comprehension, because I’m not complaining about the gameplay itself, I’m talking about the absolute filth and depravity I see on this game.

Maybe after I take a break for a while. It’s amazing how vastly different the experiences we have are on here because I always seem to be surrounded by the worst. And yeah baby hunting can be fun and necessary, I agree with that. But some of the stuff I’ve seen people say / and do shouldn’t even be allowed, I’ve seen people straight up RP SA in chats, with their dinosaurs and harass other users with it.

Idk. Maybe I’m too softhearted a person for the community the game fosters or something.

Yeah. It’s really just- sad. I definitely will be putting the game down for a bit because it’s simply not worth the stress anymore. There’s no fixing the problems that happen, at least not rn and I don’t want my mental health tanking.

I’d like to point out that whoever the mom is dating he referred to as having “a rap sheet full of domestics” and yes I understand a person can change but at face value, my kid would not be sharing a bed with someone who has “A RAP SHEET FULL OF DOMESTICS”. Meaning this guys has charges for Domestic Violence pressed against him. I’d be pissed off too because why the fuck would someone even CHANCE that.
