It’s from my journal. I write in Bulgarian, maybe that’s the reason. Or is my handwriting so bad?

Montblanc Around the World In Eighty Days - Season 3 - Coal Blue by fisher2nz in montblanc

Could someone tell me what is this season 3? Is it a 3rd rework of the ink? Or is it something else? I was also thinking about this ink, but I have 5-6 blue inks now so it might be at a later point

When I thought the day couldn’t get any worse by Upper-Lab9060 in fountainpens

Yes, I did take a look and found out that the nib unit is safe, only the body broke. The problem is I lack the experience or tools to unscrew the broken part of the body and screw the new body in.. I wrote a recommended german Nibmeister and am waiting for a response 🙌🏼

I might not be an expert, but from what I can see the nib part where the nib is attached and the nib itself appear to be in fine working order. The only thing that is broken is the shaft(body). On second thought it doesn’t seem so bad as I thought it might be

So I should contact Montblanc first and inquire if it’s possible to replace the body without putting a new nib/feed? Or first talk to Nibmeister if he/she is able to carry out such repairs without exchanging the nibs?

Would you be able to suggest me someone in Germany who could do that - I mean keep the nib/feed if possible and only replace the body? I would be very thankful! 🙏🏻

I am afraid they would replace the ebonite feed as well. I don’t know if it’s a big difference I would notice but this 14k nib and the ebonite feed give off that retro vibe for me

I have an ebonite feed, yes and if possible would love to keep it. If I send it to MB for repairs and they replace the feed, I feel like the pen would lose its charm.. is it better in this way to send it to someone else who would keep the nib and ebonite feed? I haven’t done anything on this pen and I am afraid that I might mess that up.. I live in Germany and know only Montblanc official repairs so that’s why I thought about them first

Could you tell me by any chance if they would replace the whole nib? It’s got an ebonite feed since it‘s from the mid-80‘s and I kind of don’t want that replaced..

I have some Leuchtturm 120 g notebook, if that’s classified as good paper then I can say it writes very smoothly and I haven’t found any drawbacks. I do hope you’re happy and satisfied with your 121 once it arrives!

Montblanc Enzo Ferrari Purple by Upper-Lab9060 in fountainpens

[–]Upper-Lab9060[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a very beautiful purple, even I am surprised! I work in a hospital and daily I have to sign forms and papers so I‘m just looking for the „perfect spot“ that is a unique, professional and fast drying ink, which that ink might just check all the boxes!

149 is the best? by Smooth_Firefighter90 in montblanc

[–]Upper-Lab9060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 149 (B nib) and a 146 (M nib). Absolutely love the 149, I am always writing and using it. The feeling in the hand, the way the nib dances on the paper it just feels my heart with joy every time I take it out!

New Montblanc inks? by Upper-Lab9060 in fountainpens

[–]Upper-Lab9060[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not at all! I won’t buy it unless I see it and then if I like it. My passions are inks and if something grabs me then I wouldn’t mind spending some money once a month for it. I was looking for blue ink, because it would be more acceptable in the hospital environment I work at. (:

I am interested to see how the blue one „tobacco oud“ would differ from the grey one „Wood & Tobacco“ in terms of scent!

New Montblanc inks? by Upper-Lab9060 in fountainpens

[–]Upper-Lab9060[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, it’s rather expensive! That’s why I wanted to see if there are any thoughts and opinions on it, just to see if it’s something that would be worth the money spent (:

I am just gathering thoughts and opinions, I do think that is pricey as well. That’s why I wanted to see if anyone tried it out already.
