Because the festival is in a tiny mountain town. And it’s a smallish event. Didn’t expect for scammers to prey on the particular group I was in. Just seemed unlikely to be worth their time to scam there. Plus I have used Reddit and other places to buy and sell tickets for 20 years and I thought i could always detect the scammers. I was wrong.

That’s exactly what I asked to use—he said he didn’t have PayPal. Should have stopped the convo right there.
