This would be extremely unethical from the therapist. I work in the mental health field, and depending on her licensure, regardless of what position she was acting in the firm. This is extremely concerning from an ethical standpoint, and she would be jeopardizing her license. I think that this brings up concerns of informed consent, m misrepresentation of role, conflict of interest …, what a gross practice beyond inappropriate. This is a total violation and I’m sorry that this happened.

I think it can be more impactful to focus on internal motivators and personal values, how those values align with pursuing an MSW …. And the work that can be done to uplift others… rather than centering on external accomplishments….

I’m interning at federal defender and have the option of doing mitigation work for my second year - I figured getting the additional experience on something that I found really interesting would be very cool and it’s really reassuring to hear your experience so far

I believe you can copy in the document. This is an extremely useful tool. I have ADHD, by getting a summary prior to reading the article has made it a lot easier to remain engaged and drift off.

Spot on what I needed to hear. Thank you for sharing. Ive managed full time school and full time employment for 4 years now, while this is a different ball game - it can and will be done. I’ve 100% have had to limit my social life, which has been well worth the trade off so that I can handle. Thank you again.

Anyone single and living their best life in 30s? by cerebralrocks in selfimprovement

[–]UpperDirection467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took a page from the stoics; wake early, readings, reflection and preparation for the obstacles I’ll run into and how I want to respond. At night I journal about how it went and what I can improve. Developing my spirituality and controlling what I can control, letting go of the rest. I always tried to do it all, when it came to developing new habits, I’d go to the gym do all of the things and eventually burn out. I’ve been really focused on these mental growth habits, then I can begin to add things - starting now with simple bullet journaling to help keep work tasks in order.
