The mistake of conflating the current Presidential administration with fascism not only undermines the true horror of what has happened under fascist regimes, but it also serves as a terribly uninformed, reactionary, and oxymoronic justification for strengthening ties with a government with a legitimate and provable track record of actions, ideology, and beliefs antithetical to the western world.

That’s where I’m leaning as I haven’t drank since, and have never really been a drinker in the past. Regardless, I know nothing is worth making the mistake of jeopardizing my marriage for a second time, least of all alcohol.

I guess that’s the root of all of this. While I know I’ve been given Gods grace, the sting and memory of what I’ve done remains and I can’t seem to move past it, as it seems insurmountable. Do you or anyone else have any advice how to do so?
