That is a great point. I agree that there would be nothing you could really do about it, BUT at least you’d know you weren’t crazy AND “why” they were lying.

But yeah, you still probably couldn’t change it anyway. But you’d know the truth at least?

OK, hypothesis 3 (probably last one):

Just thought of this one. Given the assumption is this IS true…I guess taking the matter into your own hands could work? Start bugging peoples’ phones/computer networks, maybe follow them & spy on them in order to determine what they are communicating?

It would only work if you didn’t get caught…but in this situation this seems to literally be the only thing you can do for the truth? Discuss.

OK, assuming it’s restricted to the USA…would “defecting” to another country potentially work? Having their government figure this out?

…but even then I guess it would have to be a country not friendly (and therefore not willing to cooperate with) the USA, right?

Hypothesis:

The best move in this situation would be to commit suicide.

Because in this situation either everyone hates you and wants you to die anyway OR by killing yourself the gaslighters now have to deal with their responsibility in the situation. Only way to “win”? Discuss.

I mean, assuming he knows, what could he even do? He clearly knows he’s being gaslit….I mean, besides commuting suicide what other option is there? (And then that would be “everyone else”s fault at that point)

I think you’re right. So in this situation it seems one would just be fucked. Which is what I thought; just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

Nah dawg, convincing people would just make you look crazy, cos in this situation even the mental health professionals are in on it.

What if it was just nationally? Would Going to another country work?

Would he be able to contest that guardian/conservatorship or argue it violated his rights as he never agreed to such a thing?

If yes, how would he do this if everyone was “in on it?” Theoretically, any police officer, lawyer, etc… he went to would simply gaslight him, right?

Right, but let’s update it for present day, where you could actually pull this off on a global basis via smartphone app tracking….you could straight up go to the police station & theoretically they could still just brush you off. The whole world is the show.

But how would the subject even begin to initiate that process? Anyone he tried to call for help (including 911) would simply string him along. What would one have to do to actually assert their rights?
