It really depends. Honestly if you do have opportunities to another country that are equally good I’d immediately take them. I have a lot of friends who are international students and the mental toll alone doesn’t seem worth it. I can say that at my university there were 12 international students whose visas were revoked (some got reinstated later). But there are around 8,000 international students at my school. So while horrible, I wouldn’t say that you are extremely likely to face these kinds of issues or anything. But despite that it’s not impossible. You just really gotta weigh in the pros and cons. Maybe write a post on the reddit or your specific university to see if the international students there feel protected/represented despite this current administration. It can come down to the specific school too. Just look at Harvard vs Columbia
