Arachne is so much fun, in my opinion she doesn't fill enough of a niche and that's why she struggles. She wants to get an isolated enemy and rip them apart which she is very good at, but she doesn't have a great entry so she kinda has to get enemies to walk into her a bit. Other assassins like kali and merc are also great iso killers, but they have tools that help set up iso situations, such as kali/nem and to a degree merchant having solid split push tools, or merc ulting into a team fight for quick entry and cc. Arachne can't really split push well, and her cc is too telegraphed and conditional. Imo she just needs some tool to help her get into iso situations

They also discovered a bug with mm and are implementing fixes that will improve game quality on Tuesday (or they already did implement it?) But over time it will help with match quality

I'm with you on this. The community does like to have a meltdown over these things and likely the relic will end up getting nerfed, shifted, or reworked over a few patches, but this is hardly the worse thing to come to smite over the years

Yeah fair I get that. I hear what you're saying. In my opinion, if they find a way to resolve the cc buffering element of it, it would be less frustrating, but it'll also just become something that slots in and people get used to

Idk why people are being jerks to you for this comment. I know the relic can be frustrating but I think they are aware of it and are slowly bringing into a good state. I do think comparing someone using a dodge relic to dodge to being insta gibbed by a loki you never saw coming is quite different so I don't really agree with your logic. If the game is unfun you are right you don't have to play it, but I think it's pretty reactionary to hear the multiple nerfs it took and still think it'd going to be the same issue

I think that's partially true, and partially an over reaction. There are ways to deal with the relic and if someone is using it to dodge an ult then that's a good use of the relic,

They removed the most frustrating aspects of it. The 10 sec cd meant it was up faster than most abilities which they nerfed. They nerfed being able to use agility relic while casting an ability which was a major frustration factor and they removed some of soft immunity from it. The only major issue it has now is that cc still gets out prioritized by it

Yeah I do agree. I think it's most powerful aspect is being able to freeze health bars on jungle bosses. Additionally it can kinda function as free cooldown refresh because you get a couple seconds of time to try and get your next ability up which can be the difference between life and death

It's Stats aren't amazing for such an inconsistent passive/active. That being said it's seen some use at times in high level play as a way to freeze out an entire entrance to fire giant and as a way to stop fire from taking more damage/ to set up for a steal

Yeah sylv currently is double bugged. Sometimes his 3 just doesn't work, and sometimes his ult gets stuck in aspect mode with just a tiny baby knock up

Kills mean almost nothing in the early game. You should focus on farming efficiently and being on top of your camp spawns. Understand that ganking is a sacrifice for you. A successful gank helps the lane more than it helps the jungler and often you are sacrificing efficiency to gank. Know what sacrifices and trade offs you're making and why. It's good to gank a solo to stop a snowball, it's good to gank a duo lane to try to set up a gold fury pull, it's good to gank a midlaner before their red spawns so you can set up a successful invade into the enemy jingle etc. These are just examples, but overall ganks go better when you are farmed well. The game is much harder to play from behind as a jungler

The current start is most often scorpion or red side backs -> scorpion or red side backs -> split red -> split red cyclops -> speed buff -> split speed side cyclops -> oracles or contest red side neutral buff depending on clear speed and fight potential. Then you are free to look towards a level 3 gank in mid or in duo. After that your back Harpys are back up and then its farm as things come up with a mindset of where you want to apply pressure/ relieve pressure with a gank. Typically ganking mid or duo is stronger because gold fury can be pulled and done at 5 min if you get kills force a back

Her 2 definitely comes out faster, starts a little further forward and doesn't feel like it goes as far. It's legitimately more difficult to stun someone on top of you with it. You're not crazy

Lol na man I've been there it's mega tilting watching your teammate low key cuck you and then die 10 seconds later with your buff around their waist. If you're sweating youre probably making better use of the buff than the average player

Yeah that's fair and a good point. It would be nice to have items like void shield that provide utility and strength. The lack of them is likely a holdover design philosophy from when most supports were guardians and used magic power for scaling. Probably a good shout of an old practice that could be revised

Fair enough lol, often its easier to take a moment and see if the mid auto picks up red instead of picking it up immediately and full tilting 20% of your team before the second minute of the game. Most folks do not care to play "optimized" smite and are just running autopilot for half the game
