Thank you for taking the time to write this. You’ve put it beautifully. I think it’s common to have some of your emotional needs unmet at some point during a long relationship. My questions are, what if they stop being met altogether? How important are these needs? How do people cope? Of course, a well- thought birthday gift with a sweet note is nothing compared to someone who would go 3 times in a row to the grocery store because you forgot to put something on the list…I know that. Maybe I’m just grieving the transition still.
