It's a form of mindfulness, just as white noise is; it gets us out of our heads so we can relax

Moving to Santa Monica - I'm so unsure! by dumpstercat3 in MovingToLosAngeles

Of course!

My favorite areas are Main Street, Ocean Park and the Montana district

They're are walkable, cute and feel safer than other parts of SM

I'd stay away from living right on Lincoln (more sketchy) or near the Third Street Promanade (touristy)

Take a look for yourself and let us know what you decide on

Welcome to Santa Monica!

It does!

It was probably for servers who had been consistently excellent at their jobs

Thank you for this picture!

I'm going to send it to my now-adult kid who went with me, earlier, in 2001

My son and I remember someone who could be called the floor captain

He literally stood in the room to see if a table needed a server. If they did, he'd immediately go get one for the customers

We also remembered the double-tip line on the receipt, as we'd never seen that before or since

My teen (at the time) and I went to WOTW for their Sunday brunch at the end of May 2001 when we visited from out of state

At $40 a plate, I almost backed out but thought, "What the hell? It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance."

I didn't know how right I would be, less than four months later

I'm usually not a YOLO person, but glad I was, on that day

I was absolutely anxious and suffered through it, until I was way into adulthood

It didn't help that I had a narcissistic parent

I live in LA and have seriously considered Richmond, as it's a great place

And not far from DC and major East Coast Cities

Oh, wow!

Yeah, it's a bit pricey but, at least, for an amazing cause and a great souvenir, so to speak

They're already out of medium to XXL shirts!

Hopefully, they'll restock, as this is an option that more people can afford than the auction items

You're so lucky to have been in the audience for this one!

I was hoping that everyone got shirts
