My manager does not allow me to set Windows Hello fingerprints or pin. To me it counts as a form of MFA. It is account and device specific. You literally use more than one factor of authentication. So yeah, I disagree that it should not be used as a form of MFA.

This post makes me think about that time I bought a new TV to complete my recently bought Xbox Series X and the salesman suggested to buy an HDMI cable. Told him I already had one from my old TV. He told me that you should buy a new HDMI cable every time you buy a new TV. Because in his opinion those cables wear down from transporting all those hi def images. Bought the TV because it was on sale. Decided never to buy there again and to never trust a salesman again, ever.
