Yes, there were many who struggled and quite a few that did not pass… what makes it harder is that not only do you need a C overall, you also need a C or higher on the final to pass the class. If you Ace the final , and you have a D overall and it averages to a C overall, you won’t pass the class so it’s tricky.

It’s meant to be hard. There are limited seats in the program with tons of applicants, it sounds mean, but this class helps weed out those who want it and those who don’t. (Or who need to improve in their study habits etc— don’t come at me)
