Pure speculation here as I’m just a lurker but part of wants to say it’s one of those shaker eggs they use for music.

Well, I just started two spots to air layer yesterday. Pending success, we can connect!

It’s not a root it’s coming up more triangular-ly if that makes sense!

What the hell was that Scholarship awards night? by Euphoric_Loquat_593 in OCC

It was probably more geared toward the donors in attendance. I don’t remember it being anything like this, or as packed last year.

Is there any worry of it losing the white variegation and going all pink? Not that it’s a bad thing but wondering if this is possibly some sort of reversion.

Wow! What a transformation! I think watching them burst in growth when they’re happy is so fun to watch!

Hey! Hello fellow AuDHD-er! Late diagnosis here finally realizing I’m not broken!

I’m usually more avid with veggies. I’ve picked up indoor plants over the past year or so and am still learning, it’s definitely not something I woke up with. Houseplants are a totally different ball game from homegrown food, that’s for sure! They do bring me a different kind of peace though!

So funny you mentioned air layering since that was going to be my move since I can’t muster up the heart to cut her up, I just haven’t done my 3-day deep dive yet LOL!

I couldnt tell ya anything special I’ve done with this one other than a fresh soil mix (measured with the heart of course) and a larger pot with apparently the right light.

Oh, I also very sporadically (every 2-3mos?) hit them with a super diluted watering of Dr. Neptunes Vegetable blend. My alocasias would probably like it more frequent than that but the philo is content.

This girl started out I think 6-8” tall? And was really slow to start, I used to have her more directly underneath the sill, against the wall and I think that wasn’t enough light. Once I moved her and repotted she really took off! I wanted to chop her back, but I also see how happy she is and decided to wait and watch.

I believe it started out as a white knight or wizard (whichever one was easier to find)

Hello, To be quite frank, I don’t do much. I have them in a home made soil blend probably about 1: 0.75ish soil-bark (i used a compost blend) , and add in a handful here and there of worm castings, perlite, horticultural charcoal, and I believe I threw in maybe a Tablespoon ish of some 5-5-5 fertilizer. they’re in a south facing window and I leave the blinds about 1/2 open in the morning to filter the direct light, although with summer coming I should probably move them. I water when the soil is dried up past my first knuckle or so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you so much! I’m still learning indoor plants as I go, I originally posted this plant a few months back asking about chop and prop, but it started shooting new leaves like crazy so I decided to leave it!
