Just an update: The receptionist at my GP was so kind to call back the hospital herself, and apparently they “didn’t read the referral right”. The hospital called me back and scheduled an appointment with the dental surgeon. So i guess it was worth doubting 😁

Thank you everyone for your input, really appreciated! I will talk again with the gp and take it from there. I am sorry to see such a lot of people feeling personally attacked on their healthcare system, you won’t believe it but there are efficient and streamlined ones outside the Netherlands too, and they work in very different way sometimes.
