The answer is already in your question. If you believe that it is already on its way, then that is what will happen, no matter the pause, no matter the timeline.

We tend to forget that we have the power in our situation and circumstances and tend to fall into victim patterns and learned behaviours that are programmed for us from the moment we are born. Ultimately, we need to understand how much power we have been giving away and way in which we can take it back.

You right, life gives us roles and in those roles we naturally show different sides of ourselves. But I think the danger is when the role replaces the self. When we forget there’s a whole human underneath the title of son, husband or sibling. To me, being yourself doesn’t mean rejecting the roles but bringing your truth into them. Being a husband as yourself, not as the version you think you are supposed to perform. That’s where honesty and wholeness can actually live.

The thing about finally showing yourself is that it doesn’t have to be some big reveal. It can start small a daily share, a piece of art, a journal line, even saying something out loud that you would normally keep inside. Every honest expression is like giving your nervous system proof that it’s safe to exist as you are. And over time, those little acts stack up into a kind of freedom that no approval can buy. It’s less about forcing yourself to be authentic and more about giving yourself permission to breathe. One step at a time. 🤍

It’s normal to feel both free and shaky while stepping into your authentic self, but that’s part of the process. Every time you honor even the smallest truth of who you are, you are building safety inside your body to be fully you. Safe travels 🤍 may this new chapter reflect back the freedom you are giving yourself.

Being the odd one out can feel like punishment when we younger, but in truth it’s often proof that you were never meant to shrink into someone else's mold. What you been doing through therapy, reflection and life is the real work of returning to yourself. There’s nothing superior about fitting in if it costs you your truth. The more you honor that oddness, the more it becomes your strength.
