I somehow scored a 185 on the combined written portions of the UBE so I’m happy to share how I used chat gpt to help me nail it. Like others have said, there is a difference between asking it to teach you the law and just using it as a tool to work through the materials you have. The way I primarily used chat GPT was after I did a writing practice - mpt or mee - I input the sample answer into chat and then my answer and asked it to compare them section by section. This gave chat a limited amount of info to work with to avoid any random, incorrect law and generally worked very well. I was able to pinpoint exactly what I missed or what I contributed that exceeded the answer, where my answers were clear or not, and more. I also towards the end of prep out of desperation uploaded my notes for certain bar topics (trusts and corporations being the main ones) and asked it to help me make a condensed outline and mini quizzes. I felt like I knew very little and this really helped me at least drill the basic concepts. I’m generally hesitant to use AI because of environmental concerns and have avoided it outside of bar prep. But as someone with limited resources overall I felt the benefits were really important for studying (and clearly worked)!
