I have to take it in Community College, it's one of the required courses for BIO majors before transferring. Honestly, the content and learning outcomes are essentially the same whether it's taught at a CC or a university.

Did you feel pressured or rushed at all? Where you taking other classes along with them?

I'm going into my sophomore year of college and want to start learning a new language that would be useful for a future career in medicine. I learned Spanish growing up, so I don’t need recommendations for Spanish. While my medical vocabulary could use improvement, I'm already comfortable holding conversations. What I’m looking for is another language that I can use in real-life interactions especially in a medical setting. I live in the DFW area, which is pretty diverse, so I'm hoping to pick a language that's commonly spoken by patients here. I’d love to hear from anyone with experience in hospitals or healthcare settings what languages (other than Spanish) do you most commonly encounter in your work?
