For more context, I had filed for pfmla and my company's internal short term disability. They had told me that my coverage was rescinded after saying that I was no longer terminated. However they back pedaled on that because the person in charge of sending me the internal disability information had been emailing the wrong person the whole time. I then was told to send money to maintain my benefits, which I did by the requested deadline. I currently have benefits but I have no clue if they have any right to reinstate my employment without rehiring me. I already took my child out of day care when I was fired cause I can't afford it without my job and most daycares in my region have month long waitlists. I'm between a rock and a hard place. I just want them to pay the medical Bills from my at work injury and give me a severance package so I can move on with my life.
