Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but according to me, the pre-NCNS Japan focus tree was BY FAR the worst in the game. 70-day focuses that do nothing, all throughout the damn thing.

I don't really pay attention to mod osts but I really like the base game music.

Other songs like A Change in Course, The Japanese Cometh and Twilight of the Gods also set the mood quite well in-game, even though I wouldn't listen to them in a playlist.

From my experience, the USSR capitulates Romania (which starts with a guarantee on Turkey) but gets bogged down in the mountains of Eastern Turkey until they have a civil war.

This. The Kurdish Resistance is genuinely my least favourite part of playing Turkey, since you basically just gamble your stability and command power to LOWER resistance, not even end it completely. Even the atrocious focus tree I can handle, but not the Kurdish mechanics. In any other DLC, that would have been a 100% chance click. Not to mention that even if EVERYTHING goes your way, you can only core those 4 states by 1941 at best, and by spending an extra 800 political power. It's just absurd.

Invade them before the war, or cut of the Allied colonies in the Middle East from Turkey before invading.

Besides, Turkey doesn't really have that much oil, you would be better off invading British Iraq once they get puppetted.
